Vee Speers.

Style-

Most of Vee Speers photography is very clean and normally white/cream back ground.Or she uses different places as his back ground. She mostly uses very pale colors  in is work. She take's photography of mainly people.Mostly most of his photos are very pale in there faces and rest of their body is meanly pale. The clothing is also in very pale colors such a red, pink.baby blue, grey. These's are the colors he mostly uses light colors. Some of she time he uses object's in the photo to create effect. And tell us more about what the story of the photo is.Mainly most of his work is taken of younger people, children and young adults. In a lot of his work the people in the photos look very miserable and sad. You can see this in their facial expressions. All tough some of the photography is in a black and white effects.

Technique-

She takes most of his photography in a studio but sometimes dose take photo's with different back grounds bu i do think these's have been edited  in.Not very often but sometimes just in different sense/places. I recon he uses a digital camera, And i think she also dose some editing in photo shop or somewhere. To make the pictures more pale and backgrounds and black and white effects etc. And i think he uses artificially lit.

Narrative-

Personally i think his story behind his photography is very sad and shows a lot of effect he is very creative with it and doesn't give away all of what the story is,it just give little hits so we can think about what we think about it and can make our own options on what we think its about and what we think the story is.I think it is better like this and make's the photo more interesting to look at.Like in one of his photo.

Style-

Trouper's photography is very basic and bland but very effective. He uses color a lot, normal very bight depending on the image,But this dose make the picture more effected and the pictures are usually  very simple and easy to see what  effected he's trying to go for,the message/effect is very clear.

Technical-

Perou mostly dose most of his work in a studio when he's taking portraits and fashion etc but sometimes when he's doing personal stuff he tends to do take them in out side spaces. It doesn't really seem like he dose much editing mostly  just not,but sometimes he dose do some effective's for example- fire.

Context-

These's photo have been mostly  taken of  people we all know (famous people) e.g Tom Daily. Mostly these photo have been taken as a series o images not just one image.

Technical-

All of these photo have been taken in a studio using a digital camera.
In the first image i think the red stuff(could be paint)i think it has been done on photo shop because the paint would be on them and very easy to seek, but cant see any so i think its been edited in.

Anesthetics-

I really like all of these photo and all of perou's work because all of him images and these's images are all very basic but very effected and easy to understand the effect he was trying to go for, they all show something different although they are all in the same sort of style.

Assignment 3.

Depth of field.

What is depth of field?

n optics, particularly as it relates to film and photography, depth of field (DOF) is the distance between the nearest and farthest objects in a scene that appear acceptably sharp in an image. Although a lens can precisely focus at only one distance at a time, the decrease in sharpness is gradual on each side of the focused distance, so that within the DOF, the unsharpness is imperceptible under normal viewing conditions.
In some cases, it may be desirable to have the entire image sharp, and a large DOF is appropriate. In other cases, a small DOF may be more effective, emphasizing the subject while de-emphasizing the foreground and background. In cinematography, a large DOF is often called deep focus, and a small DOF is often calledshallow focus.

How is there depth of field in the picture?
this photo show quite good because the main focus is the little girl in the red dress. The rest of the photo doesn't really stand out too much because all  it is basically green and then so the girl really sticks out because she's wearing a bright red dress and the rest of the photo is blurred out so the first thing you see and mostly look at in the photo is the little girl.

factual-

24 March 1932 – 3 June 2010,he was an award-winning British photographer and author of over 30 books on photography. He established the photography department in 1965 at the Royal College of Art, where he was Professor from 1975 to 1994 and Professor Emeritus until his death. He was also Pro-Rector of the college from 1981 to 1993. His photographs appear in permanent collections at the New York Museum of Modern Art and London's National Portrait Gallery.

Context-

This is a one and only image of a little girl taken not so long ago.

Technical-

I think this has been taken out side, with a digital camera.i think this photo is just a natural photo with practically not editing in it.

Aesthetic-

I really do like this photo because it is really bright and peaceful  and is juts over all really cute and the child bring's out the joy in the photo and makes it more happier and more of a loving photo to look up.

assignment 3.

Leibovitz.

 Focal point.

What's a focal point-

A focal point is the part of an image that draws the eye of a viewer to the most important part of the image or the area that you want to highlight. How you do this will make or break the final image. If you don’t know how to create this point then you will not achieve much in your photography.
The professionals have all worked this one out and if you are attempting to create similar images then learn this point well. It frustrates the eye of a viewer if there is no focal point as the eye is not drawn to any one particular part of the photo. The focal point only occupies a small part of the scene but will make or break the whole image. The simplest form of this is an isolated object seen from a distance on a plain background.

Focal point in the photo-

It has a focal point because the fist thing you see is him holding the swan it just draws your eyes to it intently, because most of the back ground is mostly black. And so because swan is quite white it makes it stand out so much more than most of the photo and the contrast between the swans white and the mans really black top make him and the swan stand out even more.

Factual-

Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, on October 2, 1949, Leibovitz is the third of six children. She is a third-generation American whose great-grandparents wereJewish immigrants from Central and Eastern Europe. Her father's parents had emigrated from Romania.[Her mother, Marilyn Edith, née Heit, was a modern dance instructor of Estonian Jewish heritage; her father, Samuel Leibovitz, was a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force. The family moved frequently with her father's duty assignments, and she took her first pictures when he was stationed in the Philippines during the Vietnam War.
In high school, she became interested in various artistic endeavors, and began to write and play music. She attended the San Francisco Art Institute, where she studied painting. For several years, she continued to develop her photography skills while working various jobs, including a stint on a kibbutz in Amir, Israel, for several months in 1969.[3

The context-

This photo is a one and one photo, the only photo that was taken of him by Annie Liebowitz. This photo was taken proximity 10 or 15 years ago of Leonardo Dicaprio who is a  is an American actor and film producer. He has been nominated for three Academy Awards and nine Golden Globe Awards. He won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his performance in The Aviator.

Technical-

I think this has been taken in a field. With a digital camera with an black and white effect on it.

Aesthetic-

I really do like this photo because it shows a lot of effect and emotion, his facial expressions show a lot of emotion because he holding a very sad but strong face. Like as if someone has hurt the swan and he's protecting the swan and he's looking at someone in anger but almost upset about the swan.

Lighting-

Light is a fundamental part of photography. Photographers use light in their photographic compositions, sometimes taking advantage of the natural light of their surroundings and other times manipulating light sources to achieve the desired lighting effect.

Assignment 3.

Composition.

perou.

http://www.perou.co.uk/

Composition-

is defined as the combining of distinct parts or elements to form a whole. In photography that definition is very important in taking quality pictures. The following rules of composition should be learned and considered but not necessarily used in every photo. Once you have learned these rules you will be more observant of the possible photo opportunities that surround you. But keep in mind that the really famous photographers usually find a creative way to stretch or break the rules of composition.

http://photosecrets.com/photography-rules-of-composition

How dose this photo show composition?

Because of how the photography has but the wording with the road and the person all together to create effect.

Assignment 2.

Perou.

Factual-

Raplth John Perou, born may 1970.Known professionally as Perou,is a British fashion, portrait and music photographer who has also appeaser a judge on make me a supermodel UK and on season 2of Bravo TV's American Make me a super model. He was part of the TV series called 'Dirty sexy things' on the British network E4 which aired on 2011. Perpu photography models to be put in his exhibition at the end o the series.

The context-

This photo is the only image he had taken of him,It was taken  in the past few year. Not so long ago.

Technical-

I think this photo has been taken out side on a normal road. But Perou has used a fire effect on photo should or somewhere.

Aesthetics-
I really do like this photo a lot because it shows a lot of effect in the way he's on fire and he doesn't really seem to bothered about it too much he's just standing there so that in some ways could been seem that maybe he doesn't much care that he's on fire that maybe he might want to be. So that really dose show a lot of emotions because you have to have a really good reason to way you don't want to be on fire its not something you would chose likely. So although we don't know why the he's on fire or the reasons behind it,i personally think it makes it more entrenching and more interesting because you think and make up your own mind on what you think he might be there for. That's what i really like best about this photo.
